Located along the beautiful Connecticut River, Rocky Hill is a thriving community with a rich heritage dating back to being independently incorporated in 1843. We strive to preserve our small town charm, making Rocky Hill a great place to visit.

Located just south of the state capital of Hartford, Rocky Hill is home to Dinosaur State Park, one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America.  Learn about the books, life and legacy of renowned American author Samuel Clemens when you visit "The Mark Twain House" which is a short 15 minute drive from Rocky Hill.  Other activities include cruises along the picturesque Connecticut River, as well as world-class shows at the nearby Bushnell Theater or Hartford Stage.

The Nations oldest, continuously running ferry service still operates here on a seasonal basis offering a peaceful alternative to crossing the Connecticut River via highway. This region is rich in history and culture and it's all within reach from Rocky Hill. Cultural and entertainment venues such as the PGA Traveler’s Championship, the Bushnell Theater, the Wadsworth Athenaeum, the Hartford Stage Company, the Hartford Opera, the Hartford Ballet, and the Mark Twain House are literally minutes away.
