Brush, Leaves, and Yard Waste Pickup

2026 Curbside Brush Collection

When:

  • Spring: Week of April 20 - 24, 2026
  • Summer: Week of July 20-24, 2026
  • Fall: Week of September 21-25, 2026

Brush pickup for the 2026 season will END September 25th and resume in the Spring, 2027.  

What: 

Branches shall be no longer than (8') eight feet and no wider than (3”) three inches. Brush MUST be stacked neatly in the same direction, NOT CRISS-CROSSED, with the cut or butt ends facing the street. Do not stack next to light poles, wires, electrical boxes, signs, fire hydrants, or mailboxes.  Brush pick-up is for residential homeowners only.  Public Works reserves the right to limit the amount of brush removed from a residence to a maximum of 10 cubic yards (or one truck load). 

How:

Leave at the curb no later than 6:00 am on the Monday of the scheduled weeks listed above.

Residents may bring brush to the Transfer Station year- round at 59 Old Forge Road during their hours of operation.   NO COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPING VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED INTO THE TRANSFER STATION. 

 Curbside Leaf Collection


When:

  • Monday, November 2, 2026 – Monday, November 30, 2026.  

Leaf collection is from the east to the west side of town and is weather dependent.  THERE IS NO SPRING CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION. Leaves may be brought to the Transfer Station at 59 Old Forge Road year-round during hours of operation. 

What:

 Loose leaves raked to the curb.

How:

Please rake leaves to the edge of the road.  DO NOT PLACE IN THE ROAD OR BY CATCH BASIN STRUCTURES.  Leaves must be placed on the grass strip within 5' of the curb so the vacuum hose can reach.  Leaf Dos and Donts PDF

LEAF COMPOST IS AVAILABLE DURING TRANSFER STATION HOURS. Please see attendants to obtain free mulch.

Curbside Christmas Tree Collection

When:  Thursday, January 5, 2026 – Friday, January 30, 2026.  

Tree pick-up will be continuous until the end of January. Residents can bring their Christmas trees to the Transfer Station at no cost.

What:

Christmas trees only.

How:

All Christmas trees should be cut to a size one person can safely handle. Remove all ornaments, lights, nails, tree stands, and bags.
